What is Investours?

Created in 2008, Investours is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life of women entrepreneurs in developing regions around the world.

Working at the intersection of cultural education and microfinance, Investours leverages the financial and political power of tourism to provide small, interest-free loans to enable entrepreneurs to build their businesses—and, in doing so, to secure economic and social gains for themselves and their families—and to build the microfinance movement internationally.

With the women to whom we lend, we are dedicated to the formation of collaborative, empathetic, and sustainable relationships with our borrowers. We work carefully to identify those women who most need and will most benefit from our loan program.

For the travelers who participate in our village visits, we are committed to the promotion of responsible, respectful tourism. We seek through our programming to create cross-cultural relationships between visitors and residents.

Join us! 100% of your tour fee will be used as interest-free loans to our borrowers. Working together, learning from one another, we can assist our entrepreneurs in achieving their economic, social, and personal ambitions.
